What is Contracts Finder?
Contracts Finder is the sister portal to FTS. While FTS carries most above-threshold Tender Notices, Contracts Finder remains essential for:
- Lower-value tenders and quotations
- Award transparency (seeing who won and for how much)
- Historical spend research on buyers
Contracts Finder and the Procurement Act 2023
From 24 February 2025, regulated above-threshold publication runs through the CDP/FTS. From 1 April 2026, expanded below-threshold notice duties on the CDP increase the overlap between portals. Suppliers should not ignore Contracts Finder if they target local government, education, or NHS sub-threshold spend.
What does this mean for suppliers?
- Set CPV and keyword alerts on both FTS and Contracts Finder.
- Use award data for competitor and incumbent mapping before a formal bid/no-bid.
- TenderLedger unifies both feeds with filters and scoring to reduce noise.
Is registration required on Contracts Finder?
Buyers set requirements per notice. Create an account to save searches and respond where the notice allows portal submission.
Can frameworks appear on Contracts Finder?
Award notices and some call-offs may appear. Framework establishment often sits on FTS if above threshold.
